About

Carteret Community College Archives is a repository of institutional records of significance or continuing value located in the Carteret Community College Library. The Archives aims to collect, organize, and preserve these records to document the history of the college from its inception to present day.

Guidelines for Research and Use

The Archives provides access to archived materials and assistance in identifying and using appropriate materials. Archival materials do not circulate and must be used in the library under supervised conditions. Access to the Archives will be by appointment made with a designated library staff member. In an effort to preserve the archived print materials, interested users (students, staff, faculty, and members of the community) of the Archives are encouraged to explore the digital component of the Archives as many of the archived print materials have been digitized. Collection

Collection areas include (but are not limited to):

  • Accreditation documents
  • College event programs and promotional materials
  • College records of programs, services, and student activities
  • Newspaper clippings
  • Publications created by or for the college
  • Student organization publications and records
  • Photographs

Donating to the Archives

Please contact the library if you have any of the following:

  • College publications
  • Student, staff, and faculty publications
  • College-related photographs
  • Handouts or flyers for events held at or sponsored by Carteret CC
  • Certificates and awards received by the college, departments, and/or individuals

Donating materials transfers ownership to Carteret Community College Archives.
