Open Educational Resources

Welcome!

Welcome to the CCC Library Guide to Open Educational Resources (OER).

"Open Educational Resources are teaching, learning, and research resources released under an open license that permits their free use and repurposing by others. OER can be textbooks, full courses, lesson plans, videos, tests, software, or any other tool, material, or technique that supports access to knowledge" (Definition from SPARC Open Education Fact Sheet).

This page is designed to find OER. Get started by selecting from one of the subtabs on the left.

Note: Don't forget that there are electronic resources available to you through the CCC Library. The CCC Library provides access to journals, eBooks, videos, and more. You do have to use your campus username and password or library card number to access these materials. Though these are not OER, they are resources that you can make available at no cost for your students.

Openly Available Sources Integrated Search (OASIS)

Openly Available Sources Integrated Search (OASIS) is a search tool that aims to make the discovery of open content easier. OASIS currently searches open content from 114 different sources and contains 440,269 records.

OASIS is being developed at SUNY Geneseo's Milne Library.
